History
CEGA was established in 1973 when Clive Ponsford launched an air taxi service and he was joined by his brother Graham six years later.
Operations soon changed to meet a growing demand for worldwide repatriation of sick and injured holiday makers and domestic NHS transfers by Ambulance Aircraft.
The founders decided to make CEGA a dedicated air ambulance service, employing its own flight and medical crews.
More than thirty five years on and CEGA has developed into a leading international claims and assistance group offering a range of bespoke products and services to an ever growing list of blue chip clients.
A highly qualified multi-lingual workforce of over 400 staff including policy claims handlers and medical and flight operations specialists are backed by an IT system which is a model for the industry. In the midst of growth, the company retains its innovative and friendly style, along with the core values it has held throughout its four decades of existence.
CEGA are proud to provide services to many of the UK's largest insurance brands including Aviva, Liverpool Victoria, HSBC, Barclays, Nationwide and Medicare to name just a few.
