CEGA set for growth
Mar 31, 20102009 was a challenging year for most companies and CEGA was no exception. With a 15% drop in foreign travel year on year, claims and assistance volumes dropped sharply, especially in the retail travel insurance sector.
However, by increasing share in both the corporate travel market and the private sector, CEGA Group Services maintained strong results. CEGA Air Ambulance also performed well, flying the same number of hours in 2009 as the previous year.
Whilst the rate of economic recovery in the UK remains uncertain, both companies are predicting a return to growth during 2010 based on further expansion within the corporate travel and personal accident markets and diversification into global risk services.
